ODFI Limited Warranty and ACH Disputes: What Now?

Just when you think you have figured out how to handle ACH disputes, the rules are changing. On June 30, 2021, a new rule will be implemented that will place a limitation on an RDFI’s claim against an ODFI for an unauthorized entry. This new rule change may have an impact on how an RDFI handles ACH disputes; especially those entries that are covered under Regulation E. In this session, you will learn how to apply the new ODFI limited warranty to consumer Reg. E ACH disputes and non-consumer ACH disputes and the possibility of your accountholders having to take losses for untimely dispute notifications.
